Younger lips with gloss

Along with your age, the lips get thinner and dryer. Dark shaded or matte lipsticks will highlight the lips and emphasize the drying parts. The gloss gives your lips more volume, but it doesn't last as much as the lipstick. So, use the lipstick first, then set a transparent gloss over with more consistency, so the color doesn't extend.

Take out the shining make-up

Once the wrinkles show up, don't use the shining makeup because it shows the obvious defects in the skin, especially wrinkles. The silky or matte eye make-ups hide the texture of your skin and hide wrinkle lines. Set shades of peach or champagne from the eyelashes to the brow area to lighten-up your eyes. If you have circles round the eyes then use shades of cream with which to cover the entire eyelid for a more natural appearance.

Balancing the shades

Too muchcan mess things up - especially in terms of a red rouge, pink blush or eye burning make-up that will make you look aged. Color is crucial, but it is better to use the neutral shades, or use a single vivid shade. Thus, if you paint your lips and cheeks with burning colors, then use a neutral color for the eyes, this will balance the colors correctly. The same principle applies if you want a make-up of dramatic eyes, set the color of your lips and cheeks with natural shades.

Don't cover everything up

It's quite tempting to cloak the skin, especially at a certain age and with so many performance products. However, too much powder or foundation cream is going to fill the wrinkle lines emphasizing them. Hydrate your skin first, and then use the foundation cream. Ideally, the skin should allow itsnatural shades to appear; set it with a brush or a sponge, not with your fingers. If you have pronounced eye-rings, then avoid any product with yellow shades that will give you an ashy skin look.

Give up the dark eyeliner and emphasize your eyebrows instead

Some other consequence of ageing is that the eyes get smaller and their outer corner points downwards. The black eyeliner is too powerful, so it's good to use subtler shades of a brown eyeliner based on powder and not liquid, with which to draw very thin lines. To emphasize your eyes , color your brows with a pencil using their natural color. That'll make the lifting illusion, drawing the attention on the upper part, not downwards. Don't skip the eyelash curling. This will allow brightening the eyes.

    • Open Question: So. Some makeup tips? ;)?

Just gonna start wearing makeup, is almost 14, and I have acne every now and then (it gets worse in spring-fall since I live in a hot state, so it's been getting pretty bad since winter) AND I was curious with a few questions, answer if you'd like? ;] 1. What type of makeup should I buy? Like I know there's a bunch of different kinds but remember I'm starting and I don't wanna go glamzilla asap with expensive makeup. 2. What type of makeup should I wear? Lipgloss- blush, stuff like that :) 3. I have fair skin, and I have dark brown curly hair and dark brown eyes with medium length black lashes? Any particular makeup I should wear? Thanks :*:*:) - 20 hours ago
